Taha Wairua

 Today Room 3 has bean working on our Taha Wairua. This is what I have done for it, we had got some Maori words from our teacher and we had to figure it out what it was in Maori.

Today me and my friend lani did maths we worked together on one book to find the answer. 

MAORI LANGUAGE MOMENT

Today at 12pm the whole world are doing something to support the Maori Language week moment. Pt England School decided to do something aswell, we are singing a beautiful song thats in Te Reo Maori. Room 3 has recorded what we did for the Maori Language week this week.
In 1972, 30,000 signatures were delivered to Parliament to safeguard the Maori Language.
Safe-guard means to protect The Maori language needed to be protected.


- Why I think that the Maori land needed to be protected, was because the people havent been speaking there language and the Maori language is getting lost
-The Maori language needed to be protected because if it wasn't getting protected people can do whatever they want, and they can also do hurtful things to people
-The Maori were not valuing there language.

TAHA WHANAU

 In march it was my cousins 21 so me and my siblings and mum went to it. And the birthday was in mangere. We arrived to a church my mums church it was cool because she walked in with this pretty white sparkling dress. We she came in we did the prays and then we left the church and 

Went to this hall that was soo big and with these

White and gold tables. The reason it was cool cause me and my family got to sit in the front not the front front table. There was this dj that was on the top of the hall. After every on came we did the 

Prays and the we got to eat. Well we were eating 

People did speeches to my cousins and kids did dances and they gave out some cakes cause  there 

Was lots of cakes the cakes were white and gold.after they gave the cakes out they told us we were aloud to have dessert. And it was so yummy and there was lots of fruit. 

Symmetry

 malo e lelei this week room three has been learning about symmetry. me and my buddy lani did a Tongan pattern but we had to draw half of it.

 this morning at 10:00 team 5 met up in the street all the leaders got up and told us what was there highlights most of them said that they were happy that they could open up and act normal and not shy.

they had group names there group names was coromandel,kauaeranga,thames,   

they had lots of fun they overcame there fears they were working as a team.

on Wednesday year 7's had lots of fun we had lots of fun activities the type of games we had was

the years 7's had there groups there was ,duck life,strikers,thunder.

Today room 3 has been switched up into different classes. Since its only Wednesday, room 3 went to room 1 and room 5. Tomorrow we are going to go room 4 and room 11, switching classes is so much fun. We get to hangout with different teachers! Learning about "Paul Bunyan" is really fun, talking about how tall he is.

the ice-cream kids

One sunny Saturday layla and jemm, leah ,angala were at the coolest, most funniest park ever. They played for about 20 minutes  and then they got really sweaty. So layla asked her mum if she and her friends could buy some ice cream and her mum mia answered yes. 

so they held each others hand and started walking. They so close to the ice cream store when layla got really tired and asked her mum can i have a piney back ride

Mia answered why not so Mia hopped on Mia's back . but the wind was getting 

Stronger the clouds were turning dark . but they finally got to the ice cream store .

Mia asked them all what flavour ice cream do you guys want. Jemmy responded can i please have chocolate leah said, vanilla please. Angala answered hokie pokie please layla answered can i have strawberry ice cream?'' mia said of course you guys can have it . but as soon as Mia pulled out the money to pay for their ice cream the wind blew it out of her hands.

The kids ran after the money until they saw an old creepy man that caught it. They ran back to Mia and said the money it's with this old creepy man. So mia went up to the old man 

And bravely said can i please have my money back so i can buy some ice cream for 

The kids. The man answered my name is sam and i saw you you were gonna pay for the kids ice cream until the wind blew it out of your hands so i thought if i catched it 

And gave it back to yous you would be so happy. Mia said ohh i thought you were gonna take the money. Sam said i was just trying to help and then handed the money to mia . mia was so happy and the kids so they paid for the ice cream then they sat on the chair outside of the ice-cream store. After they finished eating there ice-cream Mia took the kids and taxied  home and had a sleepover and had lots of fun and got 

Tired and sleeping.

Queens Award

congratulations mr brut 

Today point england had a big assembly the reason why is because 

Our great and awesome principal got a very Special award from the queen 

Point england is very very proud of him and his lovely wife mrs brut 

There were also visaters. Team five had a great gift the first thing we did 

Was  pisirina did a specht the after that aj and freedom di a pray but 

As soon as freedom said amen all of team five stood up and sang ufi ufi 

Which is a samoan song.after we sang ufi ufi the visaters said there 

Specht.

Taha Hinegaro

This morning Nina showed us a way you could clear your mind. she used meditation . A soundtrack that played sounds of nature was in the background while Nina  focused on clearing her mind.
Here's 5 ways you could clear your mind.
1. Sit outside and enjoy the nice breeze an the birds chirping. 
2. Pray with your family.
3. Play clam music and sit down on your bed .
4.  Do some fitness.
5.do some yoga
WHY?
Because it important to reset our minds regularly. To be able to see and work through things with a good mind.
